          6. Wipro stirs top leadership positions

          Wipro Ltd, one of the top five IT companies in the country,  has appointed senior vice president Shaji Farooq as the global head of its banking, financial services and insurance (BFSI) vertical.

          The announcement come after the exit of company’s computer infrastructure chief Anand Sankaran last week.

          After serving the company for 24 years, Sankaran decided to pursue career outside Wipro.

          Farooq, who is leading the company’s Advanced Technologies Service Line and Go-To-Market transformation initiatives, will take over from senior vice president Soumitro Ghosh, who will now head Wipro Infotech.
